Monday July 31 - Forum and Discussion with long-time activist/writer

Harvey Wasserman.

7:30 PM, Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, 21 Marathon Street, East

Arlington MA

Will the GOP Steal the 2006 and 2008 Elections?  Harvey Wasserman
reported on the Ohio Election crisis of 2004 and along with 50 people
from Ohio went to Washington DC on January 5, 2005 to
constitutionally challenge the election results of Ohio.  Barbara
Boxer of California supported the challenge in the Senate because of
the "numerous, serious election irregularities in the Ohio
presidential election," according to Rep. John Conyers of Michigan
and the irregularities became part of the Senate record.  This was
only the second time in US history such a challenge was made, the
first being in 1877 when Rutherford B. Hayes took office.

"The Bush/Rove GOP's art and science of stealing elections has been
perfected from Florida 2000 to Ohio 2004. With control of the
Congress at stake this November, and the presidency up for grabs
again in 2008, American democracy has never been at greater risk,"
says Harvey Wasserman.

Harvey Wasserman is senior editor at freepress.org. He helped break
many of the major revelations about the elections in Ohio in 2004.
His cutting-edge writings and radio appearances have exposed the
crisis of our electoral system and what must be done to save what's
left of it. Harvey Wasserman is a long-time activist he was a
founder of Liberation News Service in the late 1960's, he wrote
"Harvey Wasserman's History of the United States," and coined the
slogan "no nukes" during the anti-nuclear power struggle of the late
1970's and 80's.  He is expert on renewable energy issues.
