In 1934, a group of wealthy individuals and corporate leaders
decided to force Roosevelt out of the White House - with violence if
necessary.
A retired Marine General was recruited, half a million men were
identified as potential members of a private army to carry out the
coup, and the right wing press was on board to provide propaganda.
One of the conspirators: Prescott Bush, George W. Bush's
grandfather.
