The case for impeaching Bush and Cheney is overwhelming, and 51% of Americans think Democrats
should investigate and impeach them.
But Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi insists impeachment is "off the table."
We can put it back "on the table" by mobilizing the 51% majority that supports impeachment into
a powerful grassroots lobbying force.
I have posted the articles and links to web sites found on this page for the purpose of assisting the
people of this country in making it clear to the democratically controlled United States Congress that
we the people demand that Bush and Cheney be impeached. No president and vice president of this
country have ever deserved impeachment more than these two.
Of course, after impeachment and removal from office, they and a significant number of those people
in this administration need to be prosecuted for war crimes, mass murder and treason.

Have It Happen
The Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), America’s leading group of
constitutional scholarship and activism, has developed a legal case for the
impeachment of George W. Bush.
Now, in collaboration with Melville House Books and progressives across
the U.S., they are sponsoring a “National Teach-In” to share their case, what’s
at stake, and what impeachment means for every American.

Rumsfeld War Crimes
'[W]ithout any question, [Rumsfeld] has committed War Crimes' [VIDEO]

In this Democracy Now! interview (Video right), the Center For Constitutional Rights'
Michael Ratner says of outgoing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld:
So this guy has committed -- without any question, this guy has committed war crimes,
violations of the Geneva Conventions.
Because the recently passed Military Commissions Act (aka: The Torture Act) included
immunity for all administration officials from war crimes prosecution, the CCR is initiating
a case in German courts next week, "under their law, which is universal jurisdiction, which
basically says a torturer is essentially an enemy of all humankind and can be brought to justice
wherever they’re found."

Dear AlterNet Reader,
Sent packing! That's right. American voters looked at the horrendous mess in Iraq,
the crushing of civil liberties, the increasing wage gap, the overheating planet, and the
mess in New Orleans, along with other issues, and voted many Republicans and
conservatives out of office and out of power.
American voters said "enough."

Four-term congresswoman Elizabeth Holtzman, who played a key role in
the impeachment of Richard Nixon, isn't surprised that top Democrats aren't
leading the way on impeachment.
